There is something extra special about intimate ceremonies. Sometimes when you’re madly in love you get swept up in planning the biggest and best party imaginable and before you know it it’s your wedding night and you’re too tire to soak it all in. Don’t get us wrong, we love a grand party just like the next pro wedding vendor, but sometimes it’s the low-key, laid back celebrations that are truly the sweetest.
Destinee and Kyle met each other on a blind date (yeah those still happen in our super connected world) and from what we can tell, something sparked and they fell head over heals for one another. When we met them for their engagement photos in Springfield, Missouri we could see that spark first hand and we knew they had a special relationship. Their natural chemistry and big smiles made our job a heck of a lot easier! Fast-forward to the wedding day in Branson. Kyle’s best man helped in get ready while Destinee spent the morning taking it slow in her cabin with her mom and sister. The whole day all about family and focusing on the small things. There was no large wedding party, no massive guest list to worry about, just the the huge feeling of knowing you get to spend the rest of your life with the one you love.
The ceremony took place at The Garden Chapel with only their closest family and friends in attendance. The Garden Chapel is definitely one of our favorites in Big Cedar. It’s small, intimate, and filled with so much beautiful natural light. They literally had a golden ceremony as they exchange vows, shared tears and proclaimed their love in a room full of joyful witnesses. After that we headed outside for maybe the best sunset we ever had on a wedding day. They made sure to prioritize enough time alone with each other while we documented those very special moments as the sun went down. You could see their love and happiness all over their faces.
Once the sunlight had all but completely vanished, we headed to Cedar Creek Patio for their casual but gorgeous candle-lit dinner and reception. Their friends and family watched on as the speeches and toasts were given. And, as the moonlight filled the patio, the glow of the candle light was out-shined by the warmth of Destinee and Kyle’s beautiful love story.
